Lunar New Year / Christmas Cookies
Not too sweet! These Asian-inspired cookies fulfill your sweet tooth without being overwhelming. These cookies are perfect for a nice afternoon tea to warm you up.
Below is a sample of what the Christmas tin looks like. The cookie assortment varies.

This is what the 2025 Lunar New Year Tin will look like: The variation below is nut-free.

Walnut Crisps, made with fresh ground walnuts, these are light, airy and crumbly.

Pandan sable, made with Padan coconut butter, it is a buttery cookie that has flavors reminiscent of coconut and vanilla. Pandan is a large green leaf from Southeast Asia that is traditionally used in dessert drinks and cakes.

Pineapple Tart, made with homemade pineapple jam, it has a bright acidity to it, balanced with a butter tart crust. It is similar in concept to a fig newton. This iteration is the Malaysian style. Contrast to the Taiwanese pineapple cake, the filling does not contain winter melon and the tart shell does not contain vanilla flavoring or milk powder.

Sweet and savory sesame thins, made with sesame seeds, winter melon and garlic, this biscuit sits in between savory and sweet. It is oddly addicting due to the presence of Chinese red miso. It also is known as “little chicken biscuit” in Chinese.

Black & white sesame crumble cookies, very similar to halva.
